Schools without CBSE affiliation would soon be disqualified
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) informed that the schools where regular classes are being held without CBSE affiliation would be disqualified for a period of two years.The CBSE secretary in the official CBSE notice states that no schools are not permitted to run classes 6, 9 and 11 without obtaining formal permission of the CBSE for affiliation. This notice by CBSE is intended for schools that have applications pending for middle class syllabus(classes 6 to 8) or provisional affiliation up to secondary level(classes 9 and 10) and for upgradation to senior secondary level(classes 11 and 12) for the academic year 2015-16.
It is clearly mentioned in the CBSE notice that any school violating these conditions would be disqualified for a period of two years.
It is already a known fact to CBSE that many schools are functioning without proper CBSE affiliation. In these schools, CBSE syllabus is being taught to students without any official affiliation from the CBSE Board.
Currently, schools who fail to get CBSE affiliation in class 8 do not get permission to conduct classes. As it is diffficult for getting no-objection certificate(NOC) from the state government, many of the schools still continue teaching for classes 9 and 10. According to CBSE guidelines, all schools have to apply for approval to middle class 6, but they are allowed to conduct classes without affiliation till class 8. So the schools often directly apply for provisional affiliation after class 8. The schools who simply submit the application for affiliation doesn't mean that they are given any rights for affiliation.
Meanwhile, CBSE will publish the CBSE 2017 Results Class 12th and CBSE 2017 Results Class 10th for all the regions.
